What to do if AGV has a power outage outdoors

In outdoor scenes such as open warehouses and ports, the sudden shutdown of Automated guided vehicle due to battery exhaustion may cause the logistics chain to be interrupted. How to quickly resume operation? This is the most concerned issue for our customers when using our products. Today, we will solve your problems from three aspects: product configuration, prevention, and emergency handling.

1. Excellent battery performance: longer cycle life, extremely low capacity loss

We select the best quality battery cells on the market – Guoxuan and Yiwei (the accident rate is less than one in a million):

l2000 charging cycles, state of charge (SOC) retention rate ≥85%

l2500 cycles, state of charge retention rate ≥80%

This performance exceeds the industry standard by 30%, and enjoys a 1-year vehicle warranty. The more excellent battery performance escorts long-term outdoor operations.

2. Preventing AGV outdoor power outages: ‌Low power emergency handling‌

Our operating manual stipulates the standard inspection items before each startup. When starting the machine, you need to check whether the power can meet the travel requirements. When the product is delivered to the customer, we will train its operators on this point. In addition, AGV is equipped with BMS low power alarm and low power protection. The BMS system will trigger an alarm and enter a protection state when the power is less than 25%. The manager needs to manually restore it, and then drive it to the charging place to charge and resume use.

The AGV is equipped with a hall effect joystick controller and has a variety of spare buttons, which makes the operation more convenient and flexible. The remote control with a screen displays the vehicle status in real time. However, it should be noted that in order to ensure the safety and uniqueness under control, the wireless remote control sets a control mode for a dedicated vehicle. Only a wired remote control can achieve multiple controls for one vehicle.

3. What if the AGV really cannot be driven back?

When the AGV is really unable to drive back to the charging place due to an outdoor power outage, you can use a spool plus an emergency manual charger to charge and temporarily restore the power. However, the emergency treatment method is not recommended for long-term use. When the power is sufficient for the machine to return to the charging place, please remotely control the machine to return to the charging place for charging.

Our products, such as 20ton-Outdoor-AGV-transfer-cart, 240 tons heavy load AGV, 30Ton Unmanned transport AGV, Outdoor-Heavy-Duty-Navigation-AGV, etc., all meet the above descriptions. Product endurance is also part of our pre-shipment acceptance, and there is no false labeling. If you have other technical or maintenance issues when using the product, you can contact us at any time.
